I am so excited to share Emma’s gorgeous Notre Dame Academy senior pictures! Firstly, if you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Massachusetts senior portrait photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. Emma had a scheduling snaffu and we ended up needing to move her pictures to 9:30AM on a late October morning. As usual, the beach was a bit windy at this time of year. However, the wind only made Emma’s pictures more equisite!! Wind can bring gorgeous movement to your photos.

Because of the time of year and time of day, I was able to capture some very different scenery than I usually do at the beach. This is because the sun was in a drastically different position than it typically is when I shoot at this beach. The position of the sun dictates much of my plan for each session. It is quite rare for me to be able to capture sea grasses, a fence, AND the water all in one image. I was over the moon! The spectacular background was an ideal setting for Emma’s radiant beauty. When to Contact Me About Scheduling Your Senior Pictures

If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled and your invoice paid by May or June of your junior year. However, I very often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire year in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.

The Best Time of Year to Schedule Your Notre Dame Academy Pictures

Many of my clients ask “Which month do you recommend for senior pictures?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session. In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
