I founded Christina Runnals Photography in 2017 with the mission to bring high-end, light filled images to clients looking for something special in their photoshoot experience.
Hello & Welcome!
A little about me: I'm a photographer living in Scituate, Massachusetts. I specialize in using natural light to create a beautiful glow in my images, and my photography style is often described as light, airy, bright, and natural.
I have a professional background in photography and elementary music education. My many years of experience with children ages kindergarten through 5th grade really come in handy during my photo shoots! I love working with children, and am known to burst into song now and then during family sessions! Additionally, as a mom of two toddlers, working with the *very* little ones is totally second nature to me.

As an award-winning, nationally published photographer, Christina is honored to be in quite high demand. Because of this, she can only accept a limited number of sessions each year. Therefore, you should book your session as early as possible!

One of my claims to fame is how quickly I deliver my photos to my South Shore family photography clients! You will receive your photos within three weeks, but often times I am able to return them to you within a single week!! I am trained to take photos that hardly need to be edited. Because of this, my editing process is very quick!

When choosing a South Shore family photographer, you should definitely seek out a photographer with experience and training! To achieve the look you are hoping for, you will need a photographer who has professional gear. An experienced photographer will also edit your pictures with high-end editing software. Additionally, an experienced photographer will know how to control light, so that your photos do not appear hazy or as if they have a strange filter on them! They will also prepare you in advance for your session, including clear instructions on what to wear in order to achieve the look you desire.

If you are here on my website, you most likely are desiring a certain "look" to your photos. Epic, gorgeous, light-filled, candid moments of your family being present with one another. To get that "certain look," you will need a "certain photographer." You will need a family photographer who specializes in working with children, and who understands the art of capturing beauty in the moment. As an experienced South Shore family photographer, I will pose your whole family to look your absolute best. We will not simply take posed, “smiling at the camera shots." In fact, if you have little children, we will probably only take a few of those! We will play games and capture many beautiful candid moments, which are my absolute favorite.

There are SO many photography styles out there, many of which are passing trends. Some trends make skin tones appear orange in huge, or even blue-ish or green-ish! For your portraits, you will want a family photographer who consistently produces images where skin tones and colors look like they would in real life. That way, when you look at these photos 20 years from now, after the “photography trends of today” have faded, your images will still look timeless and beautiful. So look through your prospective photographer’s social media or portfolio on their website. Do all the skin tones look like they would in real life? Does skin appear creamy and beautiful? Do the rest of the colors in the image look natural?
