BACK TO MINI SESSIONS
If you would like to schedule a full session, you can visit my booking page here!
You will receive your images back fairly quickly but it could take up to 14 business days so please, schedule accordingly. Images will be emailed via a private online gallery link for you to view, choose your 5 downloads, and order additional images should you wish.
Yes! You can gift or sell your mini-session if for some reason you are unable to attend.
Yes! Rain dates are always announced prior to booking. Please be sure you are available for both dates in the case of bad weather. If for some reason you cannot make the rain date and you cancel with more than 24 hours notice you can use the credit towards a future session.
Mini-sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. Please make sure before booking that you are available on the date and time you book, as well as the rain date! If you absolutely cannot make your session and you cancel with at least 48 hours notice, you will receive a credit that can be used toward another mini-session or regular session this year or the months of January through May of next year.
Unfortunately I cannot accommodate pets at mini sessions, unless of course your pet is a trained service animal.
These mini-sessions are specifically for families and children. Unfortunately I cannot accommodate anyone that is not immediate family. If you would like to book a session with extended family a full session will be necessary.
Because I book these mini-sessions back-to-back, there is no wiggle room. If you are running late I unfortunately cannot give you extra time during your session since it would push back each session following. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early; that way we can be sure to get all the photos you were hoping for of your family!
The camera loves sophisticated color. When choosing colors for your outfits, I recommend selecting lighter, neutral tones and more muted shades. Bright, bold or neon colors are distracting and take the focus away from where it should be: YOUR FAMILY! Bold colors can also reflect back onto your skin and create a strange skin tone. You can never go wrong with light neutral colors like cream, taupe, camel or light gray. The camera loves shades of soft pinks and muted blues, mixed with sophisticated light-colored neutrals. That softer, more pastel-leaning color palette fits beautifully into almost all natural outdoor environments. Moms can never go wrong with a floor length, flowy dress. It is the most flattering thing a woman can wear. I suggest mom pick her outfit first, and then plan everyone else's outfit accordingly. As you’re coordinating your outfit with your family, keep in mind that your outfits will look the most cohesive on camera when the color palette and wardrobe pieces coordinate, but DON'T actually “match.” In fact, I recommend that you avoid thinking about “matching,” and instead think about what “fits” together. This will create more visual interest, and allow each personality to shine through.
The final difference between mini sessions and full sessions is the number of images you receive in your final gallery. Full sessions result in 50+ images, mini-sessions result in about 25-30 images. You may download all of your images from your mini-session - no need to choose just a few!
Yet another difference between a mini session and full session is the variety in your images. My mini sessions produce a good amount of variety in our 15 minute allotment, but we can only do so much in such a short time! A full session will result in many more "poses" and different backdrops.
The most obvious different between a full session and mini session is the length of the session! Mini sessions are typically about 15 minutes in length. Full sessions for families are approximately 1 hour in length. Surprisingly, full sessions are often a better choice for when you have small children because it sometimes takes them a while to "warm up" during a session.
My mini sessions take place during specific times of year. A full session can take place any time of year you'd like!
Mini sessions either take place in the early evening (about 3 hours before sunset), or the late morning. The light is a little brighter at this time of day. A full session takes place either 1.5 hours before sunset or 45 minutes after sunrise for that golden hour glow! Both are beautiful in my opinion though!
One big difference between a mini session and full session is the location of the session. For a full session, you get to pick whatever location you'd like! With mini sessions, I designate the location. This is so that I can hold all sessions back to back.
There are many differences between a mini session and a full session!
Christina Runnals Photography has an increase in demand at certain times of the year. Mini sessions help me accommodate more families since the sessions are shorter and booked one after another. They are good for those families that want updated family photos but don't necessarily want/need to spend the time required for a full photography session. My mini-sessions also make it easier on those who groan when they hear the word "family photos" (Dads and teenage boys... ahem....) On the other hand, 15 minutes for a photoshoot? No problem!
