What is a lifestyle newborn session?
A lifestyle newborn session is a session that takes place in your home, and captures your life with your baby.  Parents and siblings are included in most pictures.  Baby's portrait is captured in an organic way - not overly posed.  
How old should our baby be for newborn pictures?
 I suggest that newborn portraits be taken between day 7-21 of your baby's life for the sleepiest baby with the smoothest skin.  Having said that, I have taken newborn photos of babies even two and three months old!
Does the price of our session include digital images?
Yes, your session includes printing rights to all of the edited digital images in your gallery.
Can siblings be included in our pictures?
Of course!  The whole family will be involved.  Typically I only take a few of just baby by him or herself, as babies love to be held!  
Can our pets be included in the pictures?
Yes!  I love including your special furry family member in some shots!!
When should I book my session?  Before or after baby is born?
I recommend booking your spot as early as possible to make sure I have space available in your due date month.  I am often times booked up months in advance, but it varies from month to month!  When your baby arrives, you will let me know so that we can schedule your exact session date.
Do you travel for sessions?
Yes, I do and I have travelled all over New England and the east coast for shoots!  You can view my current travel fees here.
Will you wrap up my baby and pose him or her?
I will photograph your baby in organic poses that he or she naturally is in throughout our session. I will bring a white wrap that you can use, or we can use one of your own swaddles. I can absolutely help you wrap up your baby, I've had two babies of my own so I am a bit of an expert swaddler, but won't do anything too intricate or fancy!
What if I love the light and airy look, but my home is quite dark?
The "light and airy look" does require some natural light, light colored surroundings, and light clothing. We can almost definitely make something workin your home even if you do have some dark walls and furniture! If this is a concern you have, feel free to reach out and we can discuss!
How much should we expect to spend on our session and prints?
Newborn sessions are $850.  Your session includes a print credit to use within your gallery, and professional prints and products can easily be ordered straight from there!

Wonderful!  Simply head to my booking page here to select your due date month and book a spot on my calendar.  After you book, you will receive a confirmation email containing next steps!

After your session, I go through all of your images and select the best of the best to edit. I then carefully edit your images in my signature bright, light, and airy style with the latest high-end editing software. Within two-three weeks, your images will be presented to you in a private online gallery where you can easily download them or order prints and products.

Your session will take place in your home. I will bring several items along, including a beautiful changing basket and a small variety of wraps and swaddles.  

step 4: your session

When your baby arrives, you can either email or text me to let me know so that we can schedule your exact session date! Your session will take place anywhere from 1-3 weeks after your baby is born, unless you need to push it out further for some reason. I am a mom of two little boys and well understand that these things don't always go exactly as planned! 

step 3: WELCOME TO THE WORLD BABY!

After you have your due date officially booked, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to my  Newborn Session Guide that will give you all the tips and tricks you will need to know to have a stress-free session. This includes what to wear, colors that photograph beautifully, how to prepare your spouse and other children (if any), how to prepare your home, and my hair and makeup artist recommendations should you need them. You will also receive a code to use my amazing online styling system to easily style your entire family.

Easily book your session here.  You will provide your due date, but this will of course not be the actual date of your session!  I recommend booking your session as early as possible, to make sure I have set aside room in my calendar in the weeks surrounding your due date.  Newborn sessions take place on weekdays, typically in the morning but not necessarily.
