If you'd like to book a family session for next year (2025), please reserve your session as soon as possible! Reserving your session does not mean you have to choose your date right now, you will simply put down a deposit to guarantee yourself a spot in the month you desire. Christina Runnals Photography takes on a very limited amount of full family sessions in the summer and autumn months, so please reserve by March at the latest if possible for those months!
 
Please view my travel fees if you'd like your session to be outside of the Scituate/Cohasset/Norwell/Marshfield area.

*Immediate family (i.e. one or two adults with their children)  You may add additional family members for an extended family shoot by adding $125/person.

For summer and autumn session dates, many families reserve a session six months to a year in advance. The sooner you book, the better!  2024 sessions can be be booked here and 2025 sessions can be reserved here.
How far in advance should we book our session?
Yes, all packages include printing rights to all of your edited images.
Does the price of our session include digital images?
If you are concerned about early bedtimes, I suggest September, October, or November for your pictures.  This is because I typically try to begin our session 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset for the best lighting, and sunset is very late in the summer.  If you aren't worried about early bedtimes, then you really can't go wrong with any spring, summer, or fall month!
What time of year should we take our family photos?
October is pretty doable for beach photos!  November is questionable sometimes, but can be done.  I don't recommend December.  Keep in mind, whatever the temperature on a given day, the beach will be a tad bit colder, and a LOT windier in the autumn/winter!  If you choose to do this, you'll need to dress your children very warmly!
Can we take our pictures at the beach in October, November or December??
Yes, I do and I have travelled all over New England and the east coast for shoots! I live in Scituate, and charge a travel fee according to how far a location is from my home. You can view my current travel fees here. My travel fee covers my driving time, gas, extra childcare for my children while I am gone, etc.!
Do you travel for sessions?
We will reschedule of course! I can usually reschedule within a week or two of your original session date. I personally prefer to shoot on a sunny day for that beautiful glow, so I will even offer to reschedule if it is simply cloudy!
What if it is going to rain on the day of our session?
Yes!  Your pet is a member of your family and if you would like to include him or her in your photos, please do!  We will need to choose a dog-friendly location, and I advise bringing a trusted "pet wrangler" along to your session ;-)
Can our dog be included in our portrait session?
Family sessions range from $895 to $1295 and include digital images only.  You can easily order prints and products from your online gallery that you will receive.  Most families spend between $100 to $500 on prints and products.
How much should we expect to spend on our session and prints?
Yes!  Your family portraits with Christina Runnals Photography are an investment, and I am happy to set up a way for you to pay in smaller increments in the months leading up to your session.  Please reach out to me and I can easily set this up for you.

Do you offer mini sessions?
Wonderful! Simply visit my booking page here and fill out your information. Choose a date for your session, answer a few questions, sign the contract, and pay your deposit.  You'll be officially booked! (If you are booking far in advance, you will pay your deposit at booking and then be among the first to select your date when I release my availability in the spring).

I live in Scituate, and charge a travel fee of $1.85 per mile (round trip) for any sessions further than 10 miles from my home (11 Louise Lane in Scituate).  Duxbury & Weymouth locations incur a $40 minimum travel fee.  Locations in and around Boston incur a travel fee of $150. Locations north of Boston please inquire; typically North Shore locations incur a travel fee of approximately $250 and NH locations incur a travel fee of approximately $350-$400.

No travel fee is applied to locations in Scituate, Cohasset, and most areas of Norwell, Hingham, and Marshfield
