pre book your
2024 session

Upcoming seniors from all over the Northeast seek out Christina Runnals Photography for their senior portraits each year, which is why we created a pre-booking process.  Pre-booking simply means you will select the month you would like to have your senior portraits taken, pay a deposit, and you will be officially guaranteed a spot in that month!   You will choose your official session date in April.  For the highly coveted August and September dates, please be sure to pre-book at least 6-12 months in advance!  (PRO-TIP FOR FIRST TIME PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS- If your son or daughter is graduating in 2025, you will want to schedule their senior pictures for the summer or fall of 2024, which means you should be pre-booking or booking their session with us by May 2024 at the very latest!)

Please view travel fees if you'd like your session to be outside of the Scituate/Cohasset/Norwell/Marshfield area.

Pre-BOOK YOUR SENIOR PORTRAITS

Your edited images will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you can easily download your high-resolution digital photographs to post, print, and order products such as canvases, photo books, and beautiful glass keepsake boxes.

step 8: the final gallery

After your session, I go through all of your images and select the best 100 or so photos to present to you in an online gallery. From there, you may choose your favorite 20-30 photos (depending on the package you chose) and I will carefully edit and lightly digitally retouch your favorites with all the latest high-end software in my signature light and natural style. You can choose additional images to be edited for an added fee.

step 7: the proof gallery

Today's the big day! We will meet at a pre-determined time and shoot for 1-2 hours depending on the package you selected. We'll be doing lots of laughing, hair twirling, slow walking, looking off camera, and giving the camera gorgeous soft smiles - don't worry, I will guide you through ALL the posing!

Step 6: the session

After you choose your official date, you will receive an email with a link to an even more detailed questionnaire.  In addition, there will be a link to a Style Guide to help you prepare for your senior portrait session.  This guide will cover everything from what clothing to wear (and avoid), what to bring, what to do (and not do) in the weeks leading up to your session, and tips for hair and makeup.

Step 5: begin planning

In April, you will receive (before anyone else does!) a calendar of open dates that you may choose from.  Senior portrait sessions take place on weekdays (Monday through Thursday).  This is because beaches and other location types are much less crowded on weekdays.

step 4: choose a date

Pay your deposit (the deposit fee + tax) and you are officially guaranteed a spot in the month you selected!

step 3: Pay Your deposit and you're pre-booked!

After you sign the contract, you will be brought to a questionnaire.  You will need to provide information for both the senior and a parent.  In addition, you will answer questions about the type of location/s you'd like for your session and which month you would like your session to take place in.  If a certain month is missing from the list, this means that month is already filled up.

step 2: Fill out the questionnaire

The first step in the pre-booking process is to head here to reserve your spot.  You will see all of the available packages and pricing.  Scroll to the bottom and click "Book Senior Portrait Reservation."  Fill out your information, select a package, and choose any add-ons you'd like.  Next, sign the contract.

Step 1: reserve your spot

how pre-booking works

Yes, all packages include downloading and printing rights to ALL of your selected images.
Does my session price include high resolution digital images?
We recommend booking your session at least six months in advance, but once in a while we do have space open up at the last minute.  August and September sessions are often booked 8-12 months in advance.
How far in advance should I book my senior portrait session?
Class of 2026 can pre-book their summer/fall 2025 spot beginning in January of 2025  This will guarantee you a spot on our calendar for your desired month in 2025.  You will choose your session date in April 2025.  Join the list here if you'd like to be among the very first to book your spot for next year!
I'm in the class of 2026.  Can I book a spot already for NEXT summer/fall?

No spots remaining

This likely means that that specific month is, unfortunately, sold out.  Make sure to check out our sunrise sessions and mid-day sessions for availability, and also do not hesitate to add your name to the waitlist!
Why are there no dates available in the month I'm trying to book?
I love creating images that are natural and full of light. My photography style has been described as light and airy, or bright and colorful.
How would you describe your photography style?
After you book your session, you will receive a thorough guide from me detailing my best senior portrait wardrobe tips.  There is a guide for the ladies and a guide for the gents!
What should I wear for my senior pictures?
When you receive you proof gallery, you will have the option to purchase as many additional images as you'd like for your final gallery!
What if we end up loving more photos than the amount of images our package includes?!
We will reschedule of course! I typically will try to reschedule for the very next day, or within 7 days of your session.
What if it rains on the day of my session?
Yes!  I have had many beautiful beach sessions in October and November.  The grasses are golden and the light is warm.  I recommend sweaters be worn at the beach in these months!
Will the beach work as a location in October or November?
During the booking process, you will have an option to add a twin to your senior portrait session.  Adding a twin will add a minimum of 20 minutes and a max of 60 minutes to your session, and will result in additional images in your final gallery.  Twins can share the time however you'd like, and will be photographed separately as well as together!
How can I book a session for my twins?
Yes!  I have photographed seniors all over the northeast US.  You can view my current travel fees here.
Do you travel for sessions beyond the South Shore?
Absolutely! I love creating images that are customized to you and your personality.
Can I include my pet or sports equipment or other props?
Most definitely not! The Sand Dollar package is popular with senior guys because it allows them to wear an athletic uniform on a field and then a different outfit for some beach or urban shots.
Do guys *have* to choose the "for the guys" session?
I am more than happy to set up a way for you to pay in monthly increments leading up to your session!
Do you offer a payment plan?
Yay! Simply head to our booking page and fill out your information. Choose a date for your session, sign the contract, and pay your deposit - you're booked!
Okay, we're so excited and we're ready to book!! What next??
