I am so excited to share Elsa’s gorgeous Wellesley MA senior pictures! Firstly, if you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Massachusetts senior portrait photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. So, let me start from the beginning. Elsa and I had our very first meeting virtually to discuss all the details and plan out her shoot. Let me tell you, her excitement was infectious! I couldn’t wait to meet her in person and capture her stunning personality on camera.

On a slightly blustery September morning, Elsa and her lovely mother met me at the beach bright and early. The beach we chose is one of my all-time favorites, covered in smooth stones instead of sand. Elsa looked absolutely stunning in a white tank top and jeans for her first set of pictures. The way the natural light played off her features was pure magic.

Next, Elsa decided to switch it up and slipped into a beautiful silky navy mini-dress. The wind was still blowing, and trust me when I say it added such a gorgeous element to the photos. We ventured into the waves, capturing Elsa’s radiant smile as she danced with the water crashing around her.

A New Location

After the beach, we drove to another location—a breathtaking field of tall, swaying grasses. The field was surrounded by lush green trees, and right at the center stood a majestic oak tree. It felt like something straight out of a fairytale! Underneath the oak, there was this big rock that added even more charm to the setting.

Elsa’s dress for this part of the shoot was a short, white, flowy dress that caught the wind perfectly. The way her dress and hair danced in the wind was truly mesmerizing! The field may have been less windy than the beach, but it still had just enough breeze to create that ethereal, magical look we were going for.

I can’t even begin to describe how delighted I am with the outcome of Elsa’s Wellesley senior pictures. They embody luxury, natural beauty, and the incredible light that September mornings in Massachusetts offer. Elsa was an absolute joy to work with, and her charisma and stunning looks made my job a breeze.

Okay, I better wrap this up before I go on and on! But seriously, capturing Elsa’s senior pictures was an absolute dream come true. I feel so lucky to have been part of this milestone in her life.

Scheduling Your Senior Portraits in Your Junior Year

If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I very often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire YEAR in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.

The Best Time of Year to Schedule Your Wellesley MA Senior Pictures

Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior pictures?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session. In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
