I had such an amazing time photographing Stella’s Boston Latin senior portraits! If you’re new here, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a senior portrait photographer based in Scituate, Massachusetts. I specialize in light-filled, natural images that feel effortless and joyful. My blog is where I showcase some of my favorite sessions, and today’s is a beauty!
If you’re interested in learning more about my senior packages – or you’re ready to book your own session – head over to the senior portrait page on my website!
Stella arrived with three amazing outfits, each one totally true to her personality and style. She started off in a crisp white blouse paired with light-wash jeans – a classic, laid-back look with just the right amount of cool-girl energy. Then came a pop of color: a bright mauve corduroy dress that looked incredible against the goldenrod in the background. For her final outfit, she cozied up in a chunky cream sweater with 90s-style straight-leg jeans. The vibe was relaxed, elevated, and so perfectly fall.

Stella’s session took place in early October, and it was absolute perfection. The beach gave us golden grasses, a glowing sunset behind the dunes, and that dreamy light that makes everything feel like a movie. The mauve dress against the soft yellows of the fading goldenrod? Unreal. Every shot felt warm, glowy, and timeless.
And we have to talk about her HAIR!!! Stella has this gorgeous golden-auburn mane that caught the light in the most beautiful way. Between her windswept waves, her radiant outfits, and the coastal setting, it was all the recipe for senior portrait magic.

All in all, Stella’s senior session was such a blast. She crushed every outfit change, brought her adorable pup along for the ride, and we scored the dreamiest beach backdrop. Honestly, sessions like this make me wonder how this is even my job. I’m so glad I got to freeze these moments in time for her, and I can’t wait to see what amazing things she gets up to after graduation!
So many people think of summer as prime time for senior pictures, but fall sessions are completely underrated! In fact, September and October are my personal favorites. The weather is more comfortable, the light is warmer, and the bugs (thankfully) are mostly gone. The beach is still totally doable, but you also get the option to mix in cozy fall vibes with chunky sweaters and boots.
If your school requires a yearbook photo, it’s important to plan your session ahead of time. I recommend booking at least four months in advance, which means scheduling your session (and securing your spot!) by May or June of your junior year. Many clients even book up to a full year in advance just to be sure they get their preferred date.
Missed the window? Don’t panic. I sometimes offer last-minute sunrise or midday sessions, and you can always join the waitlist!
If you’re a Boston Latin student looking for senior portraits that feel authentic, natural, and a little bit magical, I’d love to work with you! You can view all of my senior packages and pricing here, or go ahead and book your session here. Let’s create something beautiful together!
