In a recent photo session, I had the pleasure of capturing Grace’s stunning senior portraits. If you are new to my blog, welcome! We ventured to two picturesque locations to create the perfect backdrop for Grace’s pictures. One of these locations was a field adorned with lush green and golden grasses, while the other was the beach at sunset.

Throughout the session, Grace wore four different outfits, each adding its own unique touch to the photographs. At the field, she looked radiant in a light blue mini sundress and a white mini sundress. As we moved to the beach, she changed into a delightful light pink cotton sundress. To finish off the session in style, Grace donned a breathtaking strapless, long, flowy quartz-pink gown.

As a highly experienced Hopkinton Massachusetts senior photographer, I can tell you that every evening offers a different colored sunset for photo sessions. On the day of Grace’s session, we were blessed with a mesmerizing peach-toned sunset. As the sun began to dip below the horizon, the river near the beach reflected the stunning hues, creating a dramatic and moody atmosphere.

Grace’s passion for figure skating shines through her photographs. Her graceful poses and elegant movements truly captured her talent. Adding to the fun-filled session was Grace’s father, who brought a lively energy to the shoot and made the experience even more enjoyable.

As a senior portrait photographer, I aim to capture moments of magic, using natural light to enhance the beauty of my subjects. Grace’s senior portraits exemplify this approach, showcasing her radiance against the enchanting backdrops of the field and beach. The combination of her outfits, the captivating sunset, and her graceful talent resulted in images that exude elegance and sophistication.

When To Book Your Senior Pictures

If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I very often have clients pre-book their sessions as early as an entire YEAR in advance. This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.

The Best Time of Year to Schedule Senior Pictures

Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior photos?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session. In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
