I am so excited to share Abby’s gorgeous beach senior pictures! Firstly, if you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a South Shore MA senior portrait photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. Abby had a very rare weather phenomenon at her session. It was sunny, but a tiny film of clouds was in the sky. This happens at my shoots a mere two or three times a year and of course, it can never be guaranteed. It creates an almost glossy look to your photos, even before they are edited! In my opinion, it is absolutely stunning. However, there is almost no such thing as a perfect session! While Abby had gorgeous skies and light, the greenheads and horseflies were just KILLER that night. I’ll be honest, while in many of the pictures Abby seemingly is laughing gorgeously in, she is in fact actually laughing at how many flies were ferociously biting her at that very moment. Was it worth it though? In my opinion, yes!! Haha!

Scheduling Your Senior Pictures in Your Junior Year

If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before or fall of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled and your invoice paid by May or June of your junior year. However, I very often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire year in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot. If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, there is an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session. You can also add your name to my waitlist. This year (2023) my August and September dates were completely gone by early April. So, in other words… reach out ASAP!!
