If you’re looking for Duxbury senior photos that feel light-filled, timeless, and natural, Charlotte’s session is your new inspiration. With dreamy golden light, a wardrobe full of soft blues and whites, and a stunning coastal backdrop, this evening was everything we could have hoped for.

Charlotte is a senior at Duxbury High School. She arrived to her session with her incredibly kind and supportive mom, who hung back near the car so Charlotte could be totally in the moment. This gave her the space to relax and feel confident in front of the camera – something that truly shows in every photo.
We kicked off her Duxbury senior photos under the iconic Powder Point Bridge. Charlotte wore an adorable light blue ruffled tube top paired with white jeans – an outfit that gave off all the summery New England vibes. The soft evening light filtered through the wooden beams, giving us a beautiful, golden glow.
From there, we wandered over to the sandy dunes and tall seagrass, a classic Duxbury senior photo location. The neutral tones of the beach paired perfectly with Charlotte’s light outfit, and the surrounding textures added so much visual interest to every shot. The beach was quiet and peaceful – just the way I like it for my evening sessions!
Next up: a quick outfit change into a navy t-shirt, which popped so nicely against the backdrop of pale sand and soft skies. We captured a few standing and seated shots near a grassy path, taking full advantage of the warm, golden light. These portraits brought out a more casual side of Charlotte’s style, while still feeling polished and intentional.
Then came the showstopper outfit: a long, flowy blue-and-white floral maxi dress. This look was everything for golden hour! We photographed Charlotte by a winding sand path and along the dunes, where the light danced across the folds of her dress and the sky turned stunning shades of peach, gold, and soft aqua.
This part of her Duxbury senior photo session was pure magic – one of those moments where everything (light, wind, outfit, and mood!) aligns perfectly.
To wrap up the session, Charlotte changed back into her original outfit and we made our way to the shoreline for one final round of Duxbury senior photos. The ocean was calm, the breeze was soft, and the colors in the sky had shifted to an unreal blend of aqua and dusky pink. Charlotte laid in the sand, laughed freely, and soaked in every last bit of golden hour.
This session was such a joy from beginning to end – Charlotte was a dream to photograph, and her session truly captured the effortless beauty of Duxbury.
Throughout the evening, we kept Charlotte’s posing natural and fun – nothing too stiff or formal. We started with her leaning against the bridge’s wooden beams, then moved into soft seated poses in the seagrass and sand. One of my favorites? A barefoot walking shot with Charlotte turning back over her shoulder – so effortlessly beachy and relaxed.
She posed cross-legged in the sand, laid on her stomach with her feet kicked up, and even danced a little in her flowy dress. Whether standing confidently or sinking into a cozy seated pose, she moved with ease and joy – something I always aim to capture in every Duxbury senior session.
If you’re hoping to book Duxbury senior photos filled with soft light, warm tones, and breezy natural beauty, I’d love to help bring your vision to life. From the iconic Powder Point Bridge to hidden sandy paths and dune grasses, Duxbury offers a stunning variety of backdrops for your senior session.
📸 Ready to make magic? Let’s start planning.
If your school requires a senior portrait for the yearbook, you’ll want to plan your session for the summer before senior year or early fall of senior year. The most important thing to remember? Reach out as soon as possible to reserve your date! I recommend booking at least four months in advance – ideally by April or May of junior year. Many of my clients even pre-book up to a full year ahead to guarantee a prime spot on my calendar.
Many of my clients ask me, “When is the best time of year for senior pictures?” While most of my seniors love late July, August, or early September, my personal favorite months are late September and October. The air is crisper, the humidity and bugs have calmed down, the chance of pop-up thund
