Gorgeous Dresses for the Most Stunning Senior Portraits

Can you think of a better time than your senior portraits to don a flowy, show-stopping dress?! I can’t! Senior picture season is upon us, and today I would love to share with you 14 of my all-time favorite senior portrait dresses! If you’re new around here, welcome! At first, you may be worried that you are “overdoing it” by wearing one of these gorgeous gowns. However, hear me out. Instead of doing what everyone else is doing and wearing the “same old same old,” why not stand out from the crowd?? Come on! When else in life do you have the chance to be documented by a professional photographer, in all your glory, in an epic dress? I’ll tell you when else- your wedding and that’s it!!! Therefore, I say “do it up!!!”

Let’s begin with a favorite of many of my seniors: the One Adella Maxi Slip from Free People. First of all, this dress photographs beautifully with its lacy textured top and long flowy skirt. In addition, it comes in several different colors, this rose color being my personal favorite!

Due to the release of this summer’s blockbuster hit, Barbie, hot pink has been ALL the rage at my senior portrait sessions! Therefore, I of course have to feature some hot pink dresses on my list. I absolutely love this gem, the Over the Limit Maxi Dress from Hello Molly. The back details, the flowiness, the length, the neckline – it has it all! I seriously hope someone chooses this dress for their senior portraits with me this year!

Dress #3

Another option is to go in a gold or sparkly direction with your dress for your senior pictures! I love this New York Nights Maxi Dress from ShowPo. The beadwork and sequins will absolutely glimmer in your photos. Because of the low neckline, you’ll likely want to carefully choose your undergarments for this dress! Appropriate undergarments for senior portrait dresses are very important. In the event that a strap slips out for some of your photos, it can be near impossible to edit it out!

If you put off your senior portrait outfit selection to the last minute and are down to the wire, Amazon and its free 2-day delivery (for Prime members) could be your best friend! This PrettyGarden Cross Neck Summer Sleeveless Tiered Maxi Dress from Amazon is a gorgeous shade for photos. In addition, it has a beautiful flow, cute shoulder ties, and the tiers add in some texture.

If you are headed to a field or garden for your senior portraits, then I suggest this gorgeous Emerie V-neck Maxi Dress from Morning Lavender! The watercolor floral print is stunning. Indeed, it is one of the top senior portrait dresses I have seen in this style.

As long as we are talking senior portrait dresses for fields or gardens, let’s look at this Lost in Paradise Rusty Rose Maxi Dress from Lulus! This beauty would look gorgeous in those types of settings. Additionally, it would look epic at a beach.

Another Amazon dress to the rescue! BTFBM Sleeveless Cutout Halter Maxi Dress from Amazon is AMAZING! I have seen this dress up close and in person, and I have a few things to say about it. In the first place, it is SO SOFT!!! Secondly, the cutout holes are actually pretty subtle. In the third place, it has THE best flow. In fact, you may notice that I included this dress twice on my list (in two different colors) ;-). As far as senior portrait dresses go, this one’s got it all!

If you are looking for senior portrait dresses with a unique back, look no further than Free People’s Extratropical Maxi Dress. Everything about this dress screams “photograph me!”

So far, all of these senior portrait dresses have been full-length. As I have noted, long dresses photograph beautifully. Additionally, long dresses flatter every woman’s figure. However, this adorable Getaway Drivers Dress from Hello Molly perfectly fits the bill for those of you looking for. a short option! Not only does it have gorgeous lacy details, but also has the cutest neckline and back!

Obviously, you can’t go wrong with this Sky Blue Rustic Chiffon Dress from Anna Prom Dress. I mean just look at it! This color and fabric would look especially amazing on the cream-colored sands of a New England beach.
