How to choose a location for
your senior portraits
To be honest, you can take your senior pictures at any time of year! If you need a senior portrait for your yearbook, you most likely will need to have your pictures taken in the spring or summer. If you don’t need a picture from your session for the yearbook, then the sky’s the limit, timing-wise! As you can see, some of my seniors have even chosen to have their pictures taken with a beautiful snowy backdrop! In my experience, most seniors choose to do their senior pictures in the months of July, August, September, and October.

No spots remaining
After your session, I go through all of your images and select the best 80-120 photos to present to you as proofs in an online gallery. Your proofs will all have a "soft edit" but will not be fully retouched. From your proof gallery, you may choose your favorite 20-35 photos (depending on the package you select) and I will carefully edit and lightly digitally retouch your favorites with all the latest high-end software. The reason I do it this way is that I have come to realize that MY favorite photos of you may drastically differ from YOUR favorites ;-) Your retouched senior pictures, all edited in my light and natural photography style, will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you can easily download your high-resolution digital photographs to post, print, and order products such as canvases, photo books, and beautiful wooden keepsake boxes!

With six years experience taking senior pictures, I will thoroughly prepare you for your session. I will provide you with a style guide to give you tips on what colors photograph beautifully, what to bring to your session, and tips on choosing a location. We will meet in person or talk over the phone if you would like an optional styling consultation with me. I will recommend my very favorite hair and makeup artists in the area, and check in with you about your outfit choices about two weeks prior to the date of your senior pictures.
2. working with an experienced photographer
Many of my seniors arrive at their session a little nervous, which is totally normal! But have no fear, I am highly trained in posing you to look your absolute best. I will give you guidance throughout our entire shoot, trust me, you will feel like a model by the time we are 15 minutes into your session! We will not only take posed, “looking at the camera shots,” we will also capture many beautiful candid moments. I often am asked “are the seniors in your photos actually models?” And the answer is NO! They are just regular seniors like you who are being directed by me throughout their shoot!

YES! This is the exciting part!! Every senior session inquiry I get is the highlight of my day! I get so excited about each and every session! I would be so excited to take your senior pictures, and I promise the booking process is super easy.
The first step is to book your session. Click here to book a session with me. Choose an available date, pay your deposit, sign the contract, and answer a few simple question. That's it! Each year I do receive more inquiries than I am able to take on, so make sure to book your senior pictures as early in the year as possible.
After you have booked, I will send you my Senior Session Style Guide that will give you ALL the tips and tricks you will need to know to have an amazing experience getting your senior pictures taken.
