Lucy’s Medfield MA Senior Pictures at the Beach

Lucy had a South Shore beach session in mind for her Medfield MA senior pictures, so she and her mom made the trip from Medfield for an evening together by the coast. Lucy brought three beautiful outfits, and we had such a fun time moving between the grassy dunes and the beach. She also brought something I’ve never had a senior bring to a session before: a gigantic Dora the Explorer stuffed animal with the sweetest story behind it.

Medfield MA Senior Pictures in the Dunes

We began among the dune grass with Lucy’s light blue top, pink shorts, and brown boots. I loved the boots in the field! They gave her outfit a playful touch and looked so good against the warm grasses. This was such a fun look to start with, and Lucy was wonderful in front of the camera from the beginning.

The Sweetest Guest at Lucy’s Medfield MA Senior Pictures

Lucy’s most personal addition to the session wasn’t an outfit at all. It was a giant Dora the Explorer stuffed animal that she used to cart around everywhere as a toddler. How amazing is that?! I love that Lucy and her mom brought Dora along. Senior year is such a big step toward what comes next, and that little piece of Lucy’s childhood made the evening even more meaningful.

Another Beauty of an Outfit

For her next outfit, Lucy changed into a pink floral top and jeans. The flowers and soft colors were lovely in the evening light, and this look had a completely different feel from her first outfit while still feeling like Lucy. We took our time in the dunes, finding little spots where she could sit, laugh, and simply enjoy the evening.

Having a few outfit changes is one of my favorite ways to give a senior gallery variety. Lucy’s choices each brought something different to the session: a little fun with the boots, a soft floral look, and a classic white dress to finish.

A White Dress by the Beach

For her third look, Lucy changed into a flowing white dress. We photographed her along the dunes and down by the water, giving her the coastal setting she’d imagined when she planned her session. The dress looked beautiful against the sand and sea, and it added an elegant finish to her three outfits.

What I’ll remember most about Lucy’s Medfield MA senior pictures is how much of her was woven into the evening. From the boots and floral top to her mom being there and Dora making an appearance, this session had so many details that made it personal. The Best Time of Year for Beautiful Senior Pictures
