Weston MA Senior Pictures | Beckett’s Scituate Lighthouse Session

October 18, 2025

If you’re new here, welcome to my blog! I’m Christina Runnals, a portrait photographer based in beautiful Scituate, Massachusetts. I photograph joyful, fun-loving seniors from all over New England and beyond, including many who travel to me for their Weston MA senior pictures. My images are known for being luminous, natural, and full of life – and Beckett’s session was all of the above! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages, head to the homepage of my website now.

Traveling from Weston for Senior Pictures on the Coast

Beckett and his mom and dad made the trip from Weston all the way to the coast for his senior session, and I’m so glad they did. The morning was beyond perfect. Bright blue sky, fluffy white clouds, and just enough wind to make everything look effortlessly cinematic.

But before we even started taking photos, I had one of the funniest photo shoot welcomes I’ve ever experienced. I hopped out of my car, camera bag in hand, and was immediately greeted by the sight of Donielle – Beckett’s mom – being literally dragged across the parking lot by their *enormous* Newfoundland. This giant, lovable fluffball bounded straight toward me like we were long-lost best friends, tail wagging, leash flying, and poor Donielle holding on for dear life. Let’s just say… ice officially broken 😂

Why Beckett’s Family Chose a Coastal Session

When Donielle first reached out, she told me she’d been searching for Weston MA senior pictures. What caught her eye about my work was something specific. She specifically loved how the guys in my photos looked genuinely happy and relaxed. Additionally, they don’t look stiff or overly posed, just natural. She said the quality of my images stood out immediately, and that she could picture Beckett feeling comfortable in that kind of setting.

So, the family made the trip to Scituate Lighthouse for some Scituate Lighthouse senior pictures with a coastal, light-filled feel.

Meet Beckett | Weston High School Senior & Golfer Extraordinaire

Beckett is a senior at Weston High School and an exceptional golfer. Between chatting about golf tournaments and upcoming plans, it was clear how grounded and focused he is. He had such an easygoing presence in front of the camera. He was calm, confident, and so polite, which made photographing him a total breeze!

The mix of ocean backdrop, lighthouse textures, and that perfect morning glow made for a session that was both classic and full of personality.

Why Scituate Lighthouse Senior Pictures Are Always Worth the Trip

The Scituate Lighthouse area never disappoints, especially when families travel in for Weston MA senior pictures. There’s something so special about the coast of MA! The ocean, the rocks, and that wide-open sky create a luminous quality you just can’t replicate anywhere else.

Even with a little bit of wind (and the occasional dog-related chaos), this spot delivers timeless, natural images every single time.

That Gorgeous Autumn Morning Light!

Fall mornings like Beckett’s are my absolute favorite. The beaches are peaceful, the air is crisp, and the sunlight wraps everything in a soft golden glow. September and October are truly ideal months for both Weston MA senior pictures.

The Best Time of Year for Beautiful Senior Pictures

Many of my clients ask me, “When is the best time of year for senior pictures?”. Most of my seniors love late July, August, or early September. However, my personal favorite months are late September and October. The air is crisper, and the humidity and bugs have calmed down. Additionally, the chance of pop-up thunderstorms drops way down, and the light turns extra golden. This makes everything feel dreamy and effortless.

Scheduling Your Weston MA Senior Pictures

If your school requires a senior portrait for the yearbook, you’ll want to plan your session for the summer before senior year or early fall of senior year. The most important thing to remember? Book your date as soon as possible! I recommend booking at least four months in advance – ideally by April or May of junior year. Many of my clients even use our priority booking system to reserve their session a full year ahead of time! Priority Booking means you’ll reserve your preferred month for senior portraits, place your deposit, and be officially guaranteed a spot during that month. Your exact session date will be selected in April.
