There’s just something about wildflowers at sunset that makes senior photos feel straight out of a movie. Maeve’s session had it all: golden light, dreamy blooms, and a senior who brought the perfect mix of style and personality. If you’re searching for Massachusetts senior photos with wildflowers, this is the vibe.
If you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Massachusetts photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
Here’s a fun fact: I used to give Maeve voice lessons when she was in elementary school. Fast forward a few years and suddenly she’s a senior at Silver Lake Regional High School… how did that happen?! These days she’s all about theatre, singing, and dancing. Seeing her all grown up (and absolutely stunning) made this session feel extra special.

The timing of Maeve’s session couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, we were surrounded by tall grasses and glowing yellow wildflowers. Maeve’s flowing white sundress paired perfectly with the natural, romantic setting. One of my favorite moments was Maeve walking barefoot down the path, holding a sprig of wildflowers in her hand, with the sunset glowing behind her. She also posed sitting among the tall flowers, her soft smile framed by the golden blooms all around her.

Maeve’s long golden hair deserves its own spotlight. Every time the sun hit it, it lit up like liquid gold – seriously, hair commercials have nothing on her. Whether she was twirling in the field or leaning back in the grass, that glow made every shot extra stunning.

For her second look, Maeve swapped into jeans and a ruffled white top. It was more casual, more playful, and gave us a whole new set of photos that felt relaxed and easy. Some of my favorites are her laughing in the grass, completely carefree.

The setting could not have been better: tall grasses, glowing yellow blooms, and that late-summer sunset photographers dream about. Maeve started in a flowing white sundress, barefoot on the path with wildflowers in hand…. total summer dream vibes. Sitting in the flowers, framed by golden light, she looked like she belonged right there in the field.

Maeve didn’t come solo – her mom, Lauryn, and her sister, Addy, tagged along. Addy had her senior portraits with me a few years ago, so this was basically a reunion. Together, they were the ultimate behind-the-scenes cheerleaders – laughing, encouraging, and keeping Maeve smiling the whole way through.

Maeve’s session was everything I love about senior portraits – killer outfits, gorgeous light, a little nostalgia for me, and so much personality from her.
If you’re ready to book your own Massachusetts senior photos with wildflowers, let’s make it happen! Bring your dream outfits, your hype squad, and maybe even golden-hour hair goals. I’ll bring the camera.
Many of my clients ask me, “When is the best time of year for senior pictures?” While most of my seniors love late July, August, or early September, my personal favorite months are late September and October. The air is crisper, the humidity and bugs have calmed down, the chance of pop-up thunderstorms drops way down, and the light turns extra golden – making everything feel dreamy and effortless.
If your school requires a senior portrait for the yearbook, you’ll want to plan your session for the summer before senior year or early fall of senior year. The most important thing to remember? Book your date as soon as possible! I recommend booking at least four months in advance – ideally by April or May of junior year. Many of my clients even use our priority booking system to reserve their session a full year ahead of time! Priority Booking means you’ll reserve your preferred month for senior portraits, place your deposit,
