Okay, imagine your dream senior photo session on a beach at golden hour—now add in a pink floral dress, a Yale sweatshirt, and a D1 hockey star, and you’ve got Kennedy Walker’s session in a nutshell. As a Middleton MA senior photographer, I get to meet some seriously cool seniors, and Kennedy might just be the coolest of them all.
If you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a senior photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
Kennedy came all the way from Middleton for her session, and honestly, I would’ve driven twice that far to photograph her! Not only is she headed to Yale University this fall, but she’ll be playing Division 1 hockey there too. She’s proof you can be both a total powerhouse and the sweetest human ever. #Goals
She brought along her adorable mom, Tifiany, which made the day even more special. We kicked things off with Kennedy in light denim and a white tank—simple, classic, and SO effortlessly cool. If you’re wondering what to wear for the beginning of your session, this look is always a win.
Next outfit: the most flowy, twirl-worthy pink floral dress. We wandered into some tall sea grass and green beachy trees, and the whole vibe was straight out of a magazine. (Seriously, someone call Free People.)
For her third look, Kennedy rocked a white embroidered tube top and long white skirt. We found this dreamy little beach fence that was giving rustic coastal chic, and I honestly could’ve shot this look all day.
We saved the best for last—Kennedy headed down to the shoreline for those golden-hour, hair-blowing-in-the-breeze, full-on glow-up shots. She twirled, she laughed, she totally nailed it. The sky showed up with that soft pastel cotton candy energy and everything just clicked.
To wrap things up, Kennedy threw on her YALE sweatshirt, because when you’re headed to the Ivy League, you celebrate it. We snapped a few photos that screamed “future Bulldog,” and just like that, the perfect senior session came to an end.
Kennedy—thank you for letting me be part of this moment in your life. Your talent, heart, and drive are off the charts, and I can’t wait to see what you do at Yale (on and off the ice!).
If you’re a current junior (or a very on-top-of-it parent 👀) looking for a Middleton MA senior photographer or dreaming up your own beachy senior shoot, I’d love to hear from you! Let’s make magic.
