Meet Lawson: The All-Star Student

Lawson is wrapping up his high school career at Milton High School, and let me tell you, this kid is a superstar! A top-notch student and a member of the Model UN Club, he’s also crushing it on the track and field team. When I first met him for his session, his radiant smile lit up the beach faster than the morning sun! Plus, he brought along his dad, who added an extra layer of fun to the whole shoot. Talk about a winning duo!

Lawson’s Outfits for His Milton High School Senior Pictures

Kicking off the session, Lawson rocked a smart outfit featuring khakis and a light blue button-down shirt. The colors were a hit against the golden sea grasses, proving that style plays a significant role in beach photography! He later switched to a white linen button-down, which seemed to effortlessly blend into the stunning backdrop of sun and sand. We made our way through the sea grass before heading to the waterfront for some classic beachy shots in the sand. The combo of Lawson’s style and the scenery was truly *beachy keen*. 

Fun Times and Fantastic Memories

This session was an absolute blast! Spending an October evening with Lawson and his dad was a great way to celebrate his senior year. From posing on the beach to candid laughter, it felt more like hanging out with friends than a typical photoshoot. It’s moments like this that remind me why I love what I do. So, a huge congratulations to you, Lawson!

Timing is Everything: Book Early!

For all you future seniors out there looking to capture those picture-perfect moments for your yearbook, here’s a little tip: plan ahead! Aim to have your senior pictures taken during the summer before your senior year or in the fall of your senior year. Ideally, you should be scheduling your session at least four months in advance—think April or May of your junior year. Some clients even book a full year ahead just to snag that coveted spot!

Best Timing for Milton High School Senior Pictures

Now, you might be wondering which months are best for senior pictures. Most of my high schoolers tend to go for late July, August, or early September. Meanwhile, I personally prefer late September or October. Why, you ask? Well, it’s generally less humid, less buggy, and you have a lower chance of unexpected thunderstorms—plus, the light becomes beautifully golden! If you find yourself in a last-minute schedule scramble, fret not! There’s always the option to book a session down the line.
