A Newborn Session to Remember: Welcome, Baby S!

When a home renovation meets the arrival of a newborn, magic is bound to happen. I strolled into the gorgeous abode of Michael and Cheryl, who, as it turns out, are not just design enthusiasts but also masterful renovators. Their place was buzzing with creative energy, and I instantly felt lucky to be there, surrounded by endless photo opportunities. From the stunning master bedroom to the serene nursery, and don’t get me started on that sun-drenched living room and hallway! Oh, what a treasure trove for capturing those fleeting moments of babyhood!

Snoozing in Style

We kicked off our session in the master bedroom, where little Baby S was decked out in an adorable white romper. This little cutie pie was wrapped snugly in a soft cotton swaddle (the kind dreams are made of) and drifted in and out of sleep throughout our photo shoot, making our job a tad easier. Since she was a bit restless at the start, I had Cheryl lay next to her for some comfort. The tranquillity of that moment melted my heart, and I was able to snap some truly gorgeous shots. Once Baby finally succumbed to sweet slumber, I got to work capturing her beauty bathed in gorgeous natural light.

Daddy-Daughter Moments

Next up: the big reveal of Michael! It’s safe to say that the sight of a dad cradling his little girl is enough to make anyone’s heart skip a beat. I captured a series of father-daughter shots that were nothing short of precious—like when Michael held baby’s tiny hand in his. Cue the collective “Awwww!” Then came the family portrait session with Cheryl and Mike snuggling baby. One particularly hilarious moment was when their laughter startled her awake. I caught the look of sheer horror on their faces juxtaposed against the pure love in their eyes as they saw her wide-eyed surprise—it cracks me up every single time I glance at that photo! As an experienced Scituate MA newborn photographer, these surprise moments are always my favorite moments.

Living Room Love

Next, we transitioned to the living room—another stunning space filled with thoughtful touches that Cheryl and Michael had added just for our session. There was a beautiful window letting in a warm glow, and the couch was adorned with floral arrangements that added a lovely touch. As an experienced Scituate MA newborn photographer, I’m a sucker for little details. Therefore, I felt that these perfectly placed decorations definitely enhanced our frames. And of course, how could we forget Charlie the dog? She joined in for some couch cuddles, rounding out the family moments in the most adorable way.

A Nursery Fit for a Princess

Finally, we made our way to the family’s spacious hallway and the breathtaking nursery. Now, if you’re looking for nursery inspiration, look no further than this dream space. The accent wall, complete with vibrant floral wallpaper, added a pop of color that was simply delightful. Capturing those moments in a space filled with so much love and design was the perfect ending to our day.
