I am so excited to share with you today Ava’s stunning Hingham MA senior pictures taken in a picturesque field and at a beach! Ava is a senior at Hingham High School, and let me tell you, she’s not just hitting the books; she’s also an all-star track runner! Talk about a multidimensional talent!
If you’re new to my blog, welcome aboard! I’m Christina Runnals, your friendly neighborhood photographer specializing in light-filled and natural photography. When I’m not capturing beautiful moments, I’m busy being a mom to two little boys with my husband in Scituate, MA. This blog is my playground for showcasing all the latest and greatest sessions, so if you’re looking to book your own senior portraits, hop on over to my homepage!
I first met Ava and her wonderful mom Jennifer during our virtual senior portrait consultation. We went over everything from outfits to hair and makeup for Ava’s Hingham MA senior pictures, and we even mapped out our game plan for the big day. We decided to kick things off at a nearby field and wrap up at a charming little beach just a few miles away – the perfect combo of nature’s best!
The big day arrived, and Ava kicked off her session in a sporty navy mini dress with white piping, looking absolutely radiant as she twirled under the trees. I mean, we all could use a bit of twirling in our lives, right? Next up was a stunning pale yellow satin dress that perfectly matched our surroundings. This ensemble was, without a doubt, a collective favorite! Ava even brought along a gorgeous bouquet that added just the right touch to our shots.
After the yellow glam, Ava slipped into a breezy pink maxi skirt paired with a simple white top. Let me tell you, that skirt flowed like a dream! I had her twirl for several shots, and trust me, the sass was real. Plus, we captured some adorable moments of her just lounging in the grass—these are the best kinds of memories!
Next, we made our way to the beach, where Ava made yet another quick change, this time into a pair of jeans and a classic white tee. We snapped a few shots on the sand and explored a cute boardwalk to change up the scenery. Just as we were wrapping up, the weather shocked us with a light misting of rain. But hey, we rolled with it! A little wetness didn’t stop our fun, and after all, it added an extra layer of character to our session. Huge thanks to Ava and Jennifer for such a friendly morning!
Now, just a quick tip for those considering a senior shoot: if you need your pictures for your yearbook, aim to have them taken in the summer before your senior year or in the fall of your senior year. I recommend reaching out at least four months in advance—for instance, you’ll want to have your session booked by April or May of your junior year. Fun fact: I often have clients pre-book their sessions a whole year ahead because they want the perfect spot!
Many ask me about the best time for senior portraits. Well, senior ladies tend to favor late July, August, or early September for their photos. Personally, I lean towards late September or October. Why? Less humidity, fewer bugs, and a lower chance of surprise thunderstorms. Not to mention, the lighting gets that lovely golden touch that we all crave!
Interested in booking a session with me for your own senior portraits? You can easily secure your spot now and explore all my pricing and package options on my website. I can’t wait to hear from you!
