Ahoy, friends! Get ready to dive into a delightful family session that beautifully encapsulates the essence of family fun and a toddler’s unyielding love for all things wet! I couldn’t love the Moore’s Marshfield Massachusetts family pictures more and I’m so excited to share them with you! This year’s photo session featured the dynamic trio of Olyvia, Mike, and their ever-energetic two-year-old son, Leo. It was my third session with this fabulous family, and let me tell you, watching little Leo grow has been like witnessing a blockbuster sequel – each installment more thrilling than the last!

Pre-Session Planning and Advice

Prior to our ocean-side photo extravaganza, Olyvia wisely reached out for some pre-session advice. With a toddler whose heart beats faster at the mere sight of the ocean, she asked how we might capture those precious moments without Leo making a beeline for a splashdown. My best (and slightly cheeky) advice? “Just roll with it! Let the waves – and Leo – take charge, and if everyone ends up a little soggy, consider it a bonus!”

The Perfect Setting for a Family Shoot

As luck would have it, we picked a stunning late September day for the Moore’s Marshfield Massachusetts family pictures. The golden rod danced gracefully among the seagrass, creating a picturesque backdrop that made my photographer’s heart sing. Olyvia stole the show in a flowing white dress adorned with lace details, while Mike and Leo sported neutral tones that harmonized perfectly with the natural beauty surrounding us.

The Ocean Chaos Begins

We kicked off our session right by the shoreline, capturing that picture-perfect family shot and a solo snap of little Leo before the anticipated “ocean chaos” began. And just as expected, Leo wasted no time in making a daring leap towards the waves! In an instant, we were all drenched, but let me tell you, the laughter we shared could have filled the ocean itself. Olyvia’s premonition about Leo’s fascination with water proved spot on; the little guy was intent on a full submersion – and how could we resist the charm of his spirited escapades?

Finding Calm in the Chaos

After a whirlwind of candid moments filled with laughter and playful splashes, we decided it was time to step away from the ocean (and the inevitable sogginess) and find a drier spot. We headed to a sandy area adorned with dunes and swaying seagrass, where we captured more beautiful family shots amid the stunning landscape.

All in all, the Moore’s Marshfield Massachusetts family pictures were a wonderful mix of chaos, joy, and artistic moments. The Moore family knows how to embrace the unpredictability of life, and that spirit truly shone through in each frame we captured. For your pictures, do keep in mind that you should request your session as soon as possible. I recommend booking at least 6 to 8 months in advance for June, July, August, and September dates, and 4-5 months in advance for October dates. I often have clients book as early as an entire year in advance to make sure they secure a prime spot! Because we live in New England, there are only so many months to take your pictures, right!? (That is… unless you want to be wearing snowsuits in your pictures ;-).

Last-Minute Photo Session Booking

If you’re booking at the last-minute and can’t get the date you want, you can first check to see if I have any Beach Piggyback Sessions or Fall Piggyback Sessions available. Another option is that you could request a sunrise session. I can sometimes make time for an early morning session while my children are still sleeping.
