As the sun began sinking over the horizon, it was time for Haley, a talented high school senior, to step into the spotlight. Haley’s Scituate Massachusetts senior photos are the topic of the day today! If you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Plympton MA photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
What’s better than capturing the essence of youth and friendship in a single photoshoot? That’s right—Haley brought along her best friend Grace, opting to “add on a bestie” to the session, which instantly took the fun level up a notch! For those eager to see Grace’s stunning portraits, you can check them out here!
Accompanying the girls were their devoted moms—Haley’s mom, Danielle, and Grace’s mom, Christina—who arrived ready to support but also strategically positioned themselves in the parking lot to give the young ladies a little breathing room. Because, let’s be honest, moms hovering can sometimes turn into more of a distraction than a support system!
Our adventure began in a picturesque sandy area adorned with vibrant green and gold sea grasses, with a backdrop of lush leafy trees. Haley was absolutely radiant in her light-colored wide leg jeans paired with a charming white eyelet halter top. Honestly, this girl was a natural in front of the camera from the very first click! We even grabbed some adorable shots of the two best friends giggling and posing together before we switched gears and headed to our next location. As far as Scituate Massachusetts senior photos go, these photos are seriously epic.
Next, the fashion game got an upgrade! Haley slipped into a long, flowy white dress with a delicate light blue floral pattern and a sultry slit that danced beautifully in the breeze. These photos quickly became some of my favorites from the session! Not to miss out on a little playful variety, Haley then did a quick change into casual light jeans paired with a flowy white tee—who doesn’t love a wardrobe change?
Finally, we made our way to the shoreline for the grand finale. For this setting, Haley wisely chose to return to her stunning long white dress, and let me tell you, it was a spectacular choice! The wind off the ocean was strong—definitely stronger than in our previous locations—but it had its perks. The wind expertly whipped Haley’s skirt, transforming the scene into a dreamlike portrait moment that resulted in laughter and some truly magnificent candid shots.
We finished up with a few more captures of the two girls together, their camaraderie radiating through the images. And of course, I couldn’t resist snapping a stunning shot of Haley standing in the direct sunlight, framed by the breathtaking ocean. The results? Absolutely breathtaking!
So here’s to Haley, a high school senior who embraced her special day with grace and joy, and to Grace, who made sure the adventure was filled with laughter and friendship. High school may be reaching its last chapter for these two, but the memories—and stunning photographs—will last a lifetime. Cheers to new beginnings, beautiful friendships, and fabulous photo sessions! 🌊✨
If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire YEAR in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.
Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior pictures in Scituate?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, less chance for sudden thunderstorms, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, don’t worry, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session! In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
Would you like to hire Christina Runnals as your own senior portrait photographer? Then you can book your session now, or find out more about a senior portrait session with Christina Runnals Photography! You can even view all of my pricing and package options here! Hope to hear from you soon!
