What an incredible day we had for Ali’s senior portrait session at a gorgeous South Shore beach in Massachusetts! Ali is not just any teenager; she’s a standout athlete, playing soccer and lacrosse, and she loves hanging out with her friends. As a senior at Silver Lake High School in Kingston, MA, she’s ready to step into a bright future. If you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Plympton MA photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
We started the session with Ali rocking some stylish white jeans and a navy blue tank top. Let me tell you, that outfit made her beautiful blue eyes really pop! It looked fantastic against the lush sea grasses and trees on the dunes. We captured some stunning close-ups of Ali lounging in the sand, resting her head on her arm, and she exuded such a relaxed and carefree vibe.
After soaking up the sun in that cute outfit, Ali switched things up and put on a short, flowy floral dress with ruffly sleeves. The light beach breeze was just perfect, making her dress flutter beautifully as we snapped away. We headed down to the shoreline, right as the sun was setting, and the golden light created magical moments that were simply unforgettable.
To finish off the session, Ali changed back into her first outfit for some last shots in front of the dunes as the sun dipped below the horizon. We had a blast together—Ali is such a sweetheart! Her mom, Melissa, came along too, which added an extra layer of fun to the day. With her help for hair touch-ups and her wonderful sense of humor, there was never a dull moment!
All in all, Ali’s senior portrait session was a fantastic mix of capturing her essence and having a great time. I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next! Here’s to all the amazing adventures ahead for this wonderful young woman!
If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire YEAR in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.
Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior pictures?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, less chance for sudden thunderstorms, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, don’t worry, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session! In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
Would you like to hire Christina Runnals as your own senior portrait photographer? Then you can book your session now, or find out more about a senior portrait session with Christina Runnals Photography! You can even view all of my pricing and package options here! Hope to hear from you soon!
