The joys of welcoming a newborn into the family are immeasurable. As a Kingston MA newborn photographer, I had the privilege of capturing these precious moments for Leigh and Derek. This sweet couple recently gave birth to their first baby, Chase. Born in early November, Chase is already surrounded by love, warmth, and the sweet comforts of home.

Chase’s Newborn Session Details

I first met Leigh and Derek during their maternity session at the beach, where we encountered an unexpected rainstorm. Despite the weather, we created stunning images that truly reflected their love.

Fast forward to our recent lifestyle newborn portrait session in their cozy Kingston home. Leigh looked radiant in her olive green dress, while Derek complemented her in soothing neutral tones. This set the perfect backdrop for our session with baby Chase.  We set up in their beautifully lit bedroom, where sunlight streamed through the windows. I created an inviting atmosphere that was perfect for capturing intimate moments. The minimalistic decor allowed the focus to remain on the family.

Leigh and Derek chose one of my soft, cream-colored swaddles to wrap baby Chase. Chase slept peacefully through much of our time together, which is always a plus!

Our session began by capturing the family as a whole. We made sure to include their adorable dog, whose stunning white fur added an extra layer of beauty to the portraits. He was definitely a star, bringing a fun energy to our shoot!

After family portraits, we shifted our focus to baby Chase for some individual shots. As an experienced Kingston MA newborn photographer, I just I love capturing the tiniest details. Delicate features and little fingers are such a joy to photograph.

One of my favorite moments of the session was when Leigh lay next to Chase. The way her face gently touched his, radiating love and tenderness, was truly a breathtaking sight. These are the types of images that parents will cherish forever; they encapsulate the beautiful bond between mother and child.

Derek and Chase also shared some touching moments that we captured through the lens. The emotion on Derek’s face as he held his son is a memory that will undoubtedly stay with them for years to come. These portraits reflect the love that a father has for his child, and it’s always a privilege to document such raw emotion.

As I left Leigh and Derek’s home, I felt the warmth and love that filled the atmosphere. Chase is lucky to be surrounded by such loving parents. This lifestyle newborn session wasn’t just about taking pictures; it was about capturing the essence of a family growing together.
