Sand is a part of the beach experience, but it can be tricky—it finds its way into your hair, clothes, and even my camera gear! Embrace the natural vibe; in my opinion, a little sand on the skin adds that much sought-after authentic look to your photos!

Crowds

Peak season can mean packed beaches. To avoid unnecessary distractions, consider going for a lesser-known beach or plan your session for early morning when the sun is shining and the crowds are still snoozing.

Wind

Beaches are often breezy. A nice breeze can create wonderful movement in your hair, but it can also be a challenge for the perfect shot. Bringing some hairstyling products or accessories to your beach senior pictures could be beneficial!

Humidity

Humidity, especially in summer, can be a styling challenge. Keep that frizz in check with good hair products! If you’re worried about how humidity will affect your look, fall might just be your best friend.

6. Your best go-with-the-flow attitude: The beach is full of surprises! From unexpected rains to spontaneous beach church services (yes, this is something I’ve encountered during a session ;-), things might not always go as planned for your beach senior pictures. The most important part of your session is to have fun—your joy will shine through in your photos!
