I am so excited to share Kendall’s gorgeous Weymouth MA senior pictures with you all! Firstly, if you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Massachusetts senior portrait photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
So, let me start from the beginning. Kendall lives in Weymouth, MA and attends Weymouth High School. She plays lacrosse and field hockey. In addition, she happens to be stunningly gorgeous! Because of this, my job as a photographer was a breeze.
Kendalls’s Weymouth MA senior pictures were planned for sunrise in late August. Late August is my favorite time of year to take sunrise pictures. This is for two reasons. Firstly, sunrise isn’t TOO early in late August. Yes, it’s still early, approximately 6:15 AM. But that is an entire hour later than sunrise in early July! I don’t know about you but…. I’ll take the 6:15! Secondly, sunrise in late August is still typically warm. When you start getting into September, it gets iffy and sunrise temperatures can dip into the 50s for sure.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy perusing a few of my favorites from Kendall’s sunrise senior portrait session!
After all those gorgeous shots, Kendall changed into an adorable cream-colored crocheted tank and light-colored jeans. Funny fact about these next few pictures…. they were taken while a beach church service was occurring about 50 feet from us haha! I rarely shoot on weekends, but we had rescheduled Kendall’s pictures for a Sunday because her original session date was rainy. Little did we know, we’d end up briefly encountering a church service! Things like this are exactly why I prep all of my seniors to bring along their “anything goes” mindset for their session! We are out in the world/nature and literally ANYTHING can happen!! As long as you can keep smiling and laughing, your pictures will be gorgeous no matter what.
Next, we made our way to the water. Kendall changed into a long flowy floral dress. Flowy dresses are so gorgeous for pictures, and I encourage all of my senior clients to bring along at least one.
Originally, we had planned to only go to the beach for Kendall’s senior pictures. However, a few days prior to her session, I had taken another high school senior’s pictures at sunrise. We had gone to a field location, and it was just bursting with gorgeous flowers. So, the day before Kendall’s session, I mentioned that there was an option to add 30 minutes to her session if she would like to visit one additional location. She and her mom decided to go for it, and I’m BEYOND happy they did!!!! How gorgeous are these wildflower pictures?!
I’ll wrap things up by saying I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am with the outcome of Kendall’s Weymouth MA senior pictures. Kendall was an absolute joy to work with, and her sweet personality and classic beauty made my job a breeze.
One of the top joys in my job is hearing what my clients have to say about their pictures. Kendall reached out to me and said: I just wanted to thank you one more time for your beautiful pictures. You are so talented and I have received so many amazing compliments about your photos. I can’t thank you enough and I can’t wait to recommend you to all my 2026 friends🥹🥹 Thank you for everything, I love them so much and they are everything I hoped and imagined❤️.” Without a doubt, words like these are the *actual* highlight of my day!!! (Not to mention, I was truly in awe of the maturity it takes for a high school senior to take the time to reach out and voice these kind words. I was simply blown away…. and overjoyed!!)
If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire YEAR in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.
Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior pictures?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, less chance for sudden thunderstorms, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, don’t worry, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session! In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
