I am so excited to share Tessa’s gorgeous Providence RI senior pictures with you all! Firstly, if you are new to my blog, welcome! I’m Christina Runnals, a Massachusetts senior portrait photographer specializing in photography that is light-filled and natural. I reside in Scituate, MA with my husband and two little boys. My blog is a place where I showcase all of my latest and greatest sessions! If you’d like to learn more about my senior packages and book your own senior session, head to the homepage of my website now.
So, let me start from the beginning. Tessa lives in Providence and attends The Wheeler School. She is an incredible coxswain on her school’s rowing team. She has committed to The University of Washington to cox and study – how amazing is that?! In addition to all this, she happens to be stunningly beautiful! Because of this, my job as a photographer was a breeze during this session..
Tessa’s Providence RI senior pictures were planned for sunrise in late August. Late August is my favorite time of year to take sunrise pictures. This is for two reasons. Firstly, sunrise isn’t TOO early in late August. Yes, it’s still early, approximately 6:15 AM. But that is an entire hour later than sunrise in early July! I don’t know about you but…. I’ll take the 6:15! Secondly, sunrise in late August is still typically warm. When you start getting into September, it gets iffy and sunrise temperatures can dip into the 50s for sure.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy perusing a few of my favorites from Tessa’s sunrise senior portrait session!
After all those gorgeous shots, Tessa changed into an adorable light blue mini dress. The color of the dress was stunning against the greens and golds of the field.
Originally, we had planned to only go to the beach for Kendall’s senior pictures. However, a few days prior to her session, I had taken another high school senior’s pictures at sunrise. We had gone to a field location, and it was just bursting with gorgeous flowers. So, the day before Kendall’s session, I mentioned that there was an option to add 30 minutes to her session if she would like to visit one additional location. She and her mom decided to go for it, and I’m BEYOND happy they did!!!! How gorgeous are these wildflower pictures?!
I’ll wrap things up by saying I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am with the outcome of Tessa’s senior pictures. Tessa was an absolute joy to work with, and her sweet personality and classic beauty made my job a breeze.
If you will need your senior pictures for your yearbook, you’ll want to have them taken the summer before your senior year or the autumn of your senior year. Do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. In other words, you should ideally have your session scheduled by April or May of your junior year. However, I often have clients pre-book their session as early as an entire YEAR in advance! This is because they want to make sure they secure a prime spot.
Many of my clients ask “Which month IS a prime spot for senior pictures?” Overall, my high school senior ladies prefer late July, August, or early September for their pictures. On the other hand, I personally prefer late September or October! It’s consistently less humid, less sticky, less buggy, less chance for sudden thunderstorms, and more golden :-). If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, don’t worry, there is also an option to book a sunrise session or mid-day session! In addition, you should also absolutely add your name to my waitlist.
Would you like to hire Christina Runnals as your own senior portrait photographer? Then you can book your session now, or find out more about a senior portrait session with Christina Runnals Photography! You can even view all of my pricing and package options here! Hope to hear from you soon!
