I recently had the pleasure of photographing the Chisam family during their winter maternity session at the beach, and it was truly a beautiful and heartwarming experience. Emma and Mark are expecting their first child, and they were excited to capture this special moment in their lives. 

As we all know, New England can be quite cold in March. We were fortunate enough to get a somewhat warm day for their photo shoot. It was a sunny day with a temperature of 45 degrees and no wind. These conditions made a winter beach maternity session very doable!

Session Details

Emma wore a stunning muted green long flowing gown that perfectly complemented her glowing complexion, while Mark wore jeans and a light-colored half-zip sweater.  We started their session in a field of seagrass and dunes, with the sun shining brightly and a river sparkling in the background. We even included their dog Goodwin in some shots. As an experienced maternity photographer in Massachusetts, I have worked with many dogs, and let me tell you, he was SUCH a good boy!!

Shoreline Pictures with A Maternity Photographer in Massachusetts

Next, we headed to the shoreline to take some pictures against the breathtaking ocean backdrop. The sky was starting to turn a peachy blue color, and the waves crashing against the shore created a serene and peaceful atmosphere. Emma and Mark’s love for each other was truly visible in every shot, and it was an honor to capture such a beautiful moment in their lives.

The Final Moments of the Maternity Photo Session

Finally, we walked up a hill to take a few last shots against the backdrop of fences, pale golden seagrass, and rolling hills. The scenery was simply stunning, and Emma and Mark’s love and excitement for their baby shone through in every photo. Overall, it was an incredible experience to capture such a special moment in the Chisam family’s lives. I am grateful to have been a part of their journey and to have helped them create memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Overall, the Cournoyer family’s maternity portraits were stunning, and I feel honored to have been a part of it. Colleen and Brendan have so much love to share with their new baby, and I can’t wait to meet him or her at their newborn session coming up in March!

For your maternity pictures, do keep in mind that you should request your session as soon as possible. If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, you can check to see if I have any Piggyback Sessions available. Another option is that you could request a sunrise session. I can sometimes make time for an early morning session while my children are still sleeping.
