Boston Lifestyle Newborn Portraits | Baby Rowan

Posted in: Newborn

On a recent sunny winter morning, I had the pleasure of photographing baby Rowan’s Boston lifestyle newborn portraits. Rowan was born in December. Her almost 2-year-old brother Landon and her parents also took part in the session. As a newborn photographer, I strive to capture the joy and love of families during this special time. I also had the honor of taking Landon’s newborn pictures, so it was wonderful to be able to capture another milestone for this family.

The session took place in a charming and bright Charlestown brownstone, providing the perfect backdrop for the beautiful family. Rowan was a sweet and content baby, and Landon was thrilled to show off his love for his new sibling. I captured natural moments and interactions between the family members, as well as the tiny details of Rowan’s fingers and toes. The session was relaxed and fun, and I was able to create beautiful images that the family will cherish for a lifetime.

Choosing Outfits for Newborn Photos: A Guide

Choosing the right outfit for your newborn can be a fun and exciting process. Here are some tips to help you choose the perfect outfit for your Boston lifestyle newborn portraits.

1. Keep it Simple

Neutral and light-colored outfits work best for newborn photos. Avoid patterns, logos, or text on clothing.

2. Comfort is Key

Choose an outfit that is comfortable for your baby and won’t irritate their delicate skin. Soft, breathable fabrics are ideal.

3. Consider Texture

Adding texture to your baby’s outfit, such as a knit blanket or a soft headband, can add depth and interest to the photos.

4. Coordinate with Family

Consider coordinating outfits with the rest of the family to create a cohesive look in the photos.

Booking Boston Lifestyle Newborn Portraits: Tips and Tricks

Booking a newborn photographer can seem like an overwhelming task, but with a little preparation, it can be a smooth and enjoyable process. Here are some tips to help you book a newborn photographer:

1. Start Early

It’s best to book a newborn photographer in the early stages of your pregnancy, ideally during your second trimester. This ensures that you secure a spot with the photographer of your choice.

2. Research

Look for photographers in your area who specialize in newborn photography. Check out their portfolios and reviews to get an idea of their style and experience.

3. Communicate

Talk with the photographer about your vision for the session, any special requests, and any concerns you may have. This will help ensure that everyone is on the same page and that the session runs smoothly.

4. Schedule Flexibility

Newborns can be unpredictable, so it’s important to schedule your session with some flexibility. Be prepared to adjust the date and time of the session if needed.
