About The Session

Emma’s session was so beautiful. What can be more gorgeous than senior pictures with flowers?! This session took place at Cross Street Flower Farm in Norwell, MA. My flower farm senior pictures have become so popular that last year I finally decided to create an entire package dedicated to this location!

Frequently Asked Questions about Senior Pictures with Flowers

Where can I find flower farms in Massachusetts for my pictures?

There is a huge interest among high school seniors in Massachusetts for flower farm senior pictures. Unfortunately, Massachusetts isn’t exactly brimming with flower farms! My two favorites for sure are Cross Street and the Cape Cod Lavender Farm. This is because these flower farms are in close proximity to the South Shore, where I live. They also both happen to be stunningly gorgeous 😉

What are the pros and cons of taking senior pictures with flowers?

So let’s talk photo shoots at a flower farm or field!

Pros:

The first pro of taking senior pictures with flowers is of course the variety of stunning colors in your photos. Let’s be honest, these pictures simply STAND OUT from the rest! Another pro is the uniqueness of a floral setting.

Cons:

Okay, so there are a few cons I must mention about flower pictures:

  1. Firstly, there is a good amount of DIRT involved in a shoot at a flower farm. You may be sitting or even laying down in the dirt during our shoot! (But it will be worth it).
  2. Number two on the list- BEES!!!! Lol, please be prepared for a good amount of bees at your flower farm shoot! If you are not down with bees, consider a shoot at the beach or a non-flower field!!

What time of year is best to take senior pictures with flowers?

There are really only two times of year you can possibly pull off a flower farm photoshoot in Massachusetts- summer and autumn. You can view a summer session here, and an autumn session here. Emma’s session was also an autumn session! As you can see, summer sessions result in more violet, pink, pastel, and white colors, where as autumn sessions have a more diverse selection of vibrant colors.
