A lifestyle newborn session in your home is the perfect way to capture the most precious memories of your new baby in a relaxed way.  This type of session is a great way to highlight a beautiful nursery or to include siblings or special pets. During these lifestyle sessions I use gentle and relaxed posing, which allows for natural connection and capturing authentic interactions with your new baby.  But is an in home newborn photographer right for you? Here are my top tips on when you should hire an in home newborn photographer.

Natural Light

Do you have a lot of natural light in your home and light colored walls? If you do, your home may be perfect for a lifestyle session with me! In addition, I recommend that you have white bedding on your bed and white or light neutral crib sheets in the nursery. I am always happy to speak to you about whether your home would be a good choice for an in-home session or not! Typically, I am able to make any setting work.

Light Colored Walls

Light colored walls are also a huge plus for in home newborn photos. This is because the light color of the walls will reflect back onto your faces and create a beautiful glow.
