I am absolutely thrilled to share Lydia’s stunning Canton senior pictures with you! Lydia is a fabulous senior at Canton High School in Massachusetts, and let me tell you, her session was one for the books. Weather or Not, Here We Shoot!

Now, let’s talk about the weather. You know that age-old question, “Will it rain today?” Well, in my neck of the woods, it’s more like, “Will the thunderstorm hold off until after my shoot?” The struggle is real! More often than not, we make the weather call at the last minute, praying that the ominous clouds will just pass us by. Lydia was en route to her session, taking over an hour to get here, when the skies decided to unleash a downpour. But did she want to reschedule? Nope! She was all about seeing it through, and I’m so grateful she was! 

Dancing in the Rain (and Grass) for Lydia’s Canton Senior Pictures

Our first stop was a (very damp) field filled with tall grasses, and let me tell you, the rain didn’t dim Lydia’s sparkle one bit. She rocked the viral Adella Free People dress in a clay/pink color, and I couldn’t get over how perfect it looked against the backdrop of the wet grass. We twirled and danced around, took a few casual sits in the grass, and even embraced our inner children by lying down in it! Spoiler alert: her dress ended up getting soaked, but that’s the price of greatness, right?

Beach Vibes and Relaxed Styles

Next, we made our way to a nearby beach, where Lydia switched into an adorable khaki romper that I simply adored! Talk about a wardrobe change that was as fresh as the ocean breeze! This was literally the perfect outfit for Canton senior pictures. Next, for her final look, she slipped into a chic pair of jeans with a white off-the-shoulder eyelet top that perfectly captured that effortless summer vibe. It was the kind of session where you couldn’t help but grin from ear to ear. Congratulations on your senior year, Lydia!

Timing Is Everything!

For those of you wondering when to schedule your senior pictures, I highly recommend doing them during the summer before your senior year or in the autumn of your senior year. Trust me on this one: the sooner you book, the better! Ideally, you should aim to schedule your session by April or May of your junior year. Some eager-beaver clients even book a whole year in advance to snag their perfect spot. 

Prime Time for Canton Senior Pictures

Many have asked, “When’s the best time for Canton senior pictures?” Most of my senior ladies lean toward late July to early September. Personally, I have a soft spot for late September or October—think less humidity, fewer bugs, and a beautiful golden glow. If you missed out on those dates, don’t fret! There are last-minute options available too!
