This session was so special. Winston and Willow were so so sweet. To make things even SWEETER, they have the most adorable big sister who doted on them the entire session.

Twin Newborn Pictures with Dad

I always try to take some shots of dad with his new baby, or in this case, BABIES!! Wow, can you tell I’m still trying to wrap my head around having twin?! So much work, but so amazing! Winston and Willow’s big sister Evey was so in love with her new babies. She was a *tad bit* upset that *they* wouldn’t kiss *her* LOL, but toddlers will be toddlers! When you have a toddler involved in a newborn shoot, it truly changes the whole game. Luckily, I have toddlers of my own, so I am able to go with the flow haha! Of course, the big sibling ends up trying to steal the show, and Evey was no different. I just love these candid photos of Evey with her father.

Wow do I love these next ones! Evey with the twins, and the twins and their stunning mama. As an experienced Hingham newborn photographer, I can tell you that capturing photos of twins adds a whole new dimension to your photoshoot! You have double the amount to think about when adjusting your camera settings throughout the shoot. This is particularly true with an active big sister thrown into the mix! This is why I always advise having someone on hand to help out with toddlers at a newborn session. For example, grandparents or a friend or trusted babysitter would be excellent “helpers!”

Lifestyle Newborn Pictures in Your Home

Many of my clients looking for a Hingham newborn photographer contact me because they have come across my lifestyle newborn shoots. A lifestyle newborn session in your home is the perfect way to capture the most precious memories of your new baby in a relaxed way.  This type of session is a great way to highlight a beautiful nursery or to include siblings or special pets. During these lifestyle sessions I use gentle and relaxed posing, which allows for natural connection and capturing authentic interactions with your new baby. 

Natural Light

Do you have a lot of natural light in your home and light colored walls? If you do, your home may be perfect for a lifestyle session! In addition, I recommend that you have white bedding on your bed and white or light neutral crib sheets in the nursery. I am always happy to speak to you about whether your home would be a good choice for an in-home session or not! Typically, I am able to make any setting work.

Why Have a Lifestyle Newborn Session with a Hingham Newborn Photographer?

In my opinion, sessions in your own home are so very special. This is because you and your child will look at these pictures someday and see how rooms in your home *actually* looked. We will document you and your family doing things you *actually* did at the time. Sessions in your home are incredibly organic and natural! On the other hand, newborn sessions in a studio have a totally different vibe. It all depends on what you are looking for!
