Christina Runnals | Norwell Maternity Photographer
I am so excited to share this stunning family maternity session with you all today!! As a Norwell maternity photographer, I have photographed so many adorable families these past few years! We took these pictures in March, which can be an incredibly tricky time of year to take outdoor photos! It is typically chilly here in New England in March, trees are bare, fields are mown… you get the idea. But we couldn’t wait much longer to take these pictures. After all, there is a specific window for when you want to take your maternity pictures! We found the ideal spot, and the temperature outside was actually unseasonably warm! Phew! Keep scrolling to view some of my favorites from this gorgeous maternity session.

Top Questions to Ask Your Norwell Maternity Photographer
As a Norwell maternity photographer for the past five years, I get lots of questions about maternity pictures! Read on for a few of my top questions, and the answers!
When should I schedule my maternity session?
For maternity pictures, I recommend scheduling your session to take place when you are about 32 weeks pregnant. This is because your belly will most likely have just “popped!” Additionally, in most cases it’s not SO late in your pregnancy that you have become uncomfortable.
How much does a session cost?
I offer several maternity packages for my clients! You can find out more about my packages here.
What should I wear for my maternity pictures?
For your maternity pictures, I recommend a floor length, light colored dress. Floor length dresses and gowns are most flattering on a woman’s figure. Additionally, you will want something that will accentuate your baby bump! The reason for choosing a light colored outfit is that you want the light color to reflect gorgeous light back onto your face! Ashley’s choice of dress is spectacular because it adds the perfect pop of color to a leaf-less forest and field!!
Where should we take our maternity portraits?
South shore maternity picture location options are endless! The beach, a field, a forest, a garden, a flower farm, your home…. As a Norwell maternity photographer, I have all sorts of favorite spots! If you need help picking your location for your maternity pictures, I am always happy to assist my clients!
One of my favorite parts of this job is the joy my images bring to the wonderful people I get to work with! Hearing what they have to say is always the highlight of my day! Ashley said:
“I have no words! These came out amazing and Christina Runnals Photography made the whole process so easy and fun.”
Booking a Session with a Norwell Maternity Photographer

For your pictures, do keep in mind that you should contact me as SOON as possible to schedule. I recommend booking at least 4 months in advance. If you’re booking at the last minute and can’t get the date you want, you could email me about a sunrise session. I can often make time for an early morning session while my children are still sleeping. And little ones are typically much happier at sunrise sessions than sunset sessions! Maternity sessions are also gorgeous indoors, in your home! If you go that route, we could have our session mid morning!
