I absolutely loved meeting these sweet new parents and their new little bundle! As a newborn photographer in Scituate, it’s always especially a pleasure to meet families in my very own town! Baby Julian was the sleepiest little guy for his session, yay! Normally, I try to photograph newborn sessions within two weeks of birth. Because this session was photographed at exactly his two week “birthday,” it was a little up in the air whether he’d be a sleep newborn or not!
If you are expecting in 2021 and are looking for a newborn photographer in Scituate, visit my website to find out more about my newborn sessions. You can even book your session right on my website, and you will hear from me within 24 hours!
If you have a lot of natural light in your home and light colored walls, your home may be perfect for a lifestyle newborn session! In my opinion, sessions in your own home are so very special. This is because you and your child will look at these pictures someday and see how rooms in your home *actually* looked. We will document you and your family doing things you *actually* did at the time. Sessions in your home are incredibly organic and natural! On the other hand, newborn sessions in a studio have a totally different vibe. However, as I said, for a session in your home you do need to have abundant natural light. It is also important that your home is somewhat of a tidy place!
A lifestyle newborn session in your home is the perfect way to capture the most precious memories of your new baby in a relaxed way. This type of session is a great way to highlight a beautiful nursery or to include siblings or special pets. During these lifestyle sessions I use gentle and relaxed posing, which allows for natural connection and capturing authentic interactions with your new baby. As a newborn photographer in Scituate, I would love to let you know more about the planning process for a session!
As soon as you’ve decided you’d like to book your session with me, fill out the booking form. I recommend reaching out to me as early as possible to make sure I have space available. I will send you an invoice and contract, you’ll need to pay the deposit (50%) in order to secure your spot. Then, you’ll let me know when your baby arrives so we can schedule your exact session date!
After you’re booked, I will send you my session Style Guide that will give you all the tips and tricks you will need to know to have a stress-free session, including what to wear, colors that photograph beautifully, how to prepare your spouse and other children, and how to prepare your home. We will chat by phone, text or email about outfit ideas and hair & makeup artist recommendations should you need them.
Your session will take place in your home 1-2 weeks after your baby has arrived. I will bring several items including a Moses basket and a white stretchy wrap- both are completely optional to use! In addition, I will bring my magical noise machine and a few other tricks of the trade!
I carefully edit your images in my signature bright, light, and airy style with the latest high-end editing software. Within 2-3 weeks, your images will be emailed to you in a private online gallery where you can easily download them or order prints and products!
For your baby’s newborn session, I suggest a long flowy dress for mom. This is because this type of dress is incredibly flattering to the female figure. I have several favorite places to purchase this type of dress! I love the websites Baltic Born, Vici Collection, and I also love Asos. If you are self conscious about certain parts of your body keep that in mind! For me, I am self conscious about my arms, so I prefer dresses that cover my arms! In addition, I recommend light, neutral colors for your session. These colors photograph beautifully, and will also not cast odd colors onto your skin.
