Wellesley Family Portraits in the Spring Time

I absolutely love these beautiful Wellesley family portraits! This session was a long time coming! It was gifted to Cara by Brad last May, and scheduled for the late fall. We had to reschedule several times due to bad weather. Finally, we decided that because of the cold temperatures that had settled in, that we would just hold off til the spring! We took these just as all of the leaves *exploded* onto the trees here in Massachusetts. This little town is so cute! I travelled here from Scituate to take these pictures. I lived in Boston for a few years, but never made it out to Wellesley. It’s so gorgeous! We headed to Morton Park for our session. It is seriously the ideal spot for family portraits!

Planning your Family Session with Toddlers

As anyone with toddlers who has had family pictures done knows, it is a CRAZY hour!! Some might even say a crazy DAY, because there is a lot of planning and getting ready that goes into it. At my Wellesley family portraits with the Karelitzes, Brad showed me a picture of little Zachary covered in mud AFTER he had just taken a special shower for our session LOL. The VERY first thing I do is try to get a photo of the whole family looking at the camera and smiling. Next, I try to get a photo of siblings together smiling. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t!! And after that, anything goes. We just have fun and try different games and every strategy under the sun to keep the kids smiling! I myself have toddlers, so I totally get all the craziness and feelings that are happening during a session! All in all, these Wellesley family portraits were all you could hope for in a family session!
