Scituate Family Portraits on a Sunny Morning

So excited to share these gorgeous, sunny-morning Scituate family portraits! This family is SO sweet and their new puppy, Hero, is, as you can see, THE cutest!!!! Sessions with animals involved can be tricky sometimes, but Hero was a very good boy. I hope you enjoy some of my favorite shots from this awesome session!

Photographing a Session In Full Sun

All photographers know the “golden rule”- only shoot during “golden hour”! In other words, the 1-2 hours right before sunset or just after sunrise. However, once you know the rules, I say rules are meant to be broken! We scheduled this session at peak sunny time on a summer day! While golden hour is beautiful, it is possible to get gorgeous photos in full sun. The catch is, you need to hire a photographer who knows how to do it! Otherwise, full sun can be extremely unflattering on subjects.
